Data processing and use:
Eco-union and Germanwatch as responsible partners for Europe on Rail communication activities, collect personal data through subscriptions to web forms or registrations to events and programs developed under the framework of Europe on Rail project.
This personal data will be used for the purpose of sending you information about the project initiatives and activities. Communications will be made through thematic newsletters or through the periodic newsletter that gathers the most relevant news and articles published on our website.
We will also use your email address to inform you about calls, invitations or explicit requests that we believe may be of interest to you, always strictly related to the scope of Europe on Rail’s work.
Under the Europe on Rail project, we do not carry out other types of communications that require more specific information nor do we deal with data of a more complex nature than emails.
If we are in a situation where we require more explicit information or need your consent to disclose information about events or participations in which you could collaborate, we will contact you to inform you about the case, the processing of this data and ask for your explicit consent to do so.
All communications will always be sent by eco-union or Germanwatch, without third parties or associations having any access to the personal data of users.
Europe on Rail communications establishes mechanisms by which you can disable further electronic communications services easily and free of charge, following the instructions in the legal footer of the e-mails.
Transfer of personal data
Not eco-union nor Germanwatch will use, share, rent or sell your information with any other association or company except by legal obligation.
Service Providers
Within Europe on Rail, eco-union and Germanwatch use the services of third-party companies like Google, PhP list, Mailchimp and Microsoft to facilitate our services.
These providers are GDPR compliant and use strong mechanisms to keep your data safe and controlled.
Period of storage
eco-union and Germanwatch will store your information as long as you use our services (receive different kinds of information related to our works) and until three year after your last use of our services or the termination of the membership. Subscribers who no longer wish to belong to the Europe on Rail database can unsubscribe by clicking on the unsubscribe option in any of the communications received. This step will lead to the corresponding deletion of their personal data.
Persons who have shared their personal data have the following rights:
-Right of Access: You have the right to know if your data is being processed and to receive this information in writing through the means requested.
-Right of rectification: You have the right to request the rectification of your data if they are inaccurate or incomplete.
-Right to request deletion of your data: We also remind you that you can unsubscribe from our services and delete your information using the unsubscribe button that you will find in all emails you receive from us.
-Right to limit the processing of your data, in which case we will only keep them for the exercise or defence of claims, the protection of third parties or for reasons of important public interest.
-You may object to the processing of your data. The controller shall cease processing the data, except for compelling legitimate reasons, or the exercise or defence of any claims.

Any interested party may lodge a complaint with the competent Data Protection Control Authority, especially when they have not obtained satisfaction in the exercise of their rights and the way to contact them would be to send a letter to the Spanish Data Protection Agency at C/Jorge Juan n.º 6, 28001 Madrid or through its electronic headquarters at www.agpd.es. Complaints can also be submitted to the Catalan Data Protection Authority (Autoritat Catalana de Protecció de Dades).

Security
Your information is stored on eco-union and Germanwatch computers and online servers such PhP list ones or Mailchimp, that guarantees the protection of your data.
We take precautions to protect your information both online and offline. Only employees who need the information to perform specific actions are granted access to e-mail addressees and personally identifiable information.
The computers/servers on which we store personally identifiable information are protected and kept in a secure environment.
